Description
The MODx Resource Wizard takes a specially packaged resource archive (snippet, module, tv, etc...) and installs it through an easy to use, point and click process. It also helps you create packages of your own resources for easy distribution and end user installation.
To install a resource.
MODx Resource Wizard packages should be zip files and named
[something].modxpkg.zip
Not all developers will follow this naming convention, but hopefully most will.
Download a modxpkg file to your desktop (or get the demo pack with an assortment of resources from the MODx Resource Wizard Extras),
and from the main screen of this module, at the form, select "Browse" and choose the modxpkg.
Select "Install this package".
If it is not a certified MODx Resource Wizard package, you will get an error and be prompted to the main menu.
If everything checks out, you will be alerted to what is going to be installed, and if it is an existing resource, an alert will let you know that this resource will be upgraded and the old data will be overwritten.
Clicking Cancel will exit back to the main menu and remove the uploaded files from your server.
Clicking continue will install the package and the MODx Resource Wizard will display a help/info file if the author provided one.

Download the file "mrw.php" from http://piratemachine.org/software/modxresourcewizard.html (17.17kb).
Upload the file "mrw.php" to the root of your MODx installation (in the same directory as the index.php file and the assets & manager folders).
navigate to that file on your MODx site in your web browser (e.g. http://yoursite.url/mrw.php).
Follow the instructions in the installer.
When the the installer is finished, make sure the permissions for the folder "assets/modules/wizard" (and all of it's sub folders) are set to "0777"
