Description

Adds the TinyMCE richtext editor to MODx.

TinyMCE is a platform independent web based Javascript HTML WYSIWYG editor control released as Open Source under LGPL by Moxiecode Systems AB. It has the ability to convert HTML TEXTAREA fields or other HTML elements to editor instances.

Instructions

Follow the instructions below to install the TinyMCE editor into MODx:

• Download and unzip the plugin files.
• Upload the corresponding files to the root of your MODx site.
• Run the installer (http://www.yoursite.com/install/).
• Select TinyMCE from the list of editors in the MODx configuration (System Configuration / Interface & Editor Settings).

Updates

NOTE: Please read the update notes from the prior version (2.0.9) for further details on important changes! It's recommended that you make a backup of your database before installing this plugin!

• Updated editor to TinyMCE 2.1.0.
• Removed TinyMCE Compressor due to flaky performance and incompatibilities.
• Added check for previous "full" theme variable.
• Updated installer to accomodate for mismatched upgrades. If a plugin exists with a different description then the old plugin is installed in a disabled state.
• Changed TinyMCE plugin directory name so that upgrades don't overwrite existing versions.
• Removed the noneditable plugin from the Content Editor theme and default plugin settings due to a conflict in Safari.
• Added XHTML compliant version of media plugin. Older version was renamed to media_old.
