MODx, the Most Promising Open Source Content Management System

“Winning the Award for the Most Promising Open Source CMS is a tremendous honor for MODx. For the team, it validates the past two years of hard work. The people that really deserve the credit though is our community, the heart and soul of MODx. We're lucky to have such a wonderful and growing base of users of all experience levels.”, Ryan Thrash (Founder)

I am a bit confused though, is the award the one we voted? Or they came out a new category?

Yes its the award we all nominated and voted for. "Most Promising CMS".
Actually Packt exapanded its categories this year to several along with more prize money. Have a look at Packt Award link in the post.
Now, the price is for the "most promising". So, Modx has to evolve to become the "best CMS". One suggestion is about Documentation, which is a bit confusing; a better way to find templates and snippets and a really better documentation on how to write snippets, chunks and to integrate them. I think that when you'll enable a better way for the platform to grow through external snippets, chunks, ..., it will become the best product.
Anyway, I use it myself on 14 sites and find it really powerful. Congrats for the good work!!!
Apparently, there was an iPod nano drawing too... guess who won it!!!
lol, I got the red one :P
Thanks to all involved in the MODX project.
Its sort of like the Apple Macintosh of CMS world - making complex concepts simple yet classy. Keep up the splendid work!
