Congrats!!! by fmanness 08-Nov-07 10:50 AM
I discovered ModX by performing a search on "SEO CMS" on Google. Through, effectively, it also you to have a lot of control on metas and urls, which is really good for SEO, I discovered an amazing platform. I think that the idea behind the code is what really make Modx a really great tool.

Now, the price is for the "most promising". So, Modx has to evolve to become the "best CMS". One suggestion is about Documentation, which is a bit confusing; a better way to find templates and snippets and a really better documentation on how to write snippets, chunks and to integrate them. I think that when you'll enable a better way for the platform to grow through external snippets, chunks, ..., it will become the best product.

Anyway, I use it myself on 14 sites and find it really powerful. Congrats for the good work!!!

definately deserved by richardjj 16-Jan-08 01:37 PM
All future CMS projects that our company now undertakes will be based on MODX. I love the product and I love the way it was developed and where it has positioned itself in the marketplace.

Its sort of like the Apple Macintosh of CMS world - making complex concepts simple yet classy. Keep up the splendid work!

I wholeheartedly agree by Meristem 07-Feb-08 07:45 AM
the comment directly above by richardjj is spot on. I think that if the ludges - and I might be an idiot - spent time learning MODx they would have given it best CMS outright. Having spent 3 months now learning it, I can't ever go back to Joomla nor Drupal., nor support my clients who do. I think those two have reached the logical end. There will always be a market for them just like there's a market for gasoline.

Looks great by spiritfly 12-Apr-08 12:30 PM
I think this is the best cms I have seen so far, but it needs a lot of work to get to the level where users not so into html/css php can use it.
